Edwards Project

Carlisle, Ontario

2025

A landscape composed to feel entirely at home in its setting. Bordering a private golf course, this Carlisle property takes full advantage of its views while creating a sequence of spaces that feel comfortable and composed. The design follows the land’s natural grade, establishing balance between openness and privacy, structure and ease. The result is a space that feels grounded—natural rather than imposed.

Areas Worked

Backyard, Pool Renovation

Working from what already existed, the approach was one of refinement, not expansion. The original pool was resurfaced and bordered in natural stone, while new patios and armourstone retaining walls shaped the slope into a series of subtle terraces. These transitions bring definition without disruption, allowing each area to feel distinct yet integrated.

A fir pergola introduces shade and order, while the restored tiki hut carries forward a sense of history and informality. Together, they create a calm rhythm across the site—a landscape equally suited to quiet mornings and evening gatherings.

Every detail feels considered: balanced, enduring, and designed to be lived in as much as admired.
